eLearning Ontario?

Probably the most telling part of the current battle between the Ministry of Education in Ontario and private schools who offer Ontario credits through elearning is that the Ministry has been putting a lot of work into their own elearning site, www.elearningontario.ca. The site very clearly is designed to not only replace the private schools offering these courses online, but to go directly after the public boards who have developed their own virtual high schools.

The terms of service for the site specifically states that the resources provided there can be used by a school board, as long as the material and resources are used to enhance existing elearning courses provided by the ministry, but cannot be used in order to develop the board’s own virtual high schools or online courses.
